Elias Apen Canas

Elias is in first grade. He lives in a house made out of pieces of cartoon, aluminum, etc. He helps his parents to go to the coffee plantation to pick coffee up. It has taken a long time to make parents understand that their kids deserve a better life. We have at Kairos all 4 brothers and sister. We need your help so that Elias can finish school. Just starting it is a huge step and we can tell he is very happy and smart and is doing great.

Greysi Roxana Telon OrdoƱez

Greysi, one of ould oldest kids in school (actually a teenager). She used to help with the income at home by selling handykrafts in Antigua. She can weeve and sometimes still sells her own stuff. She is fourth grade. The missed school for a couple of years since it was more helpful at home by working. She is a good student and we believe she can make it along with your help.

Christian Rodriguez Rodriguez

Cute, isn´t he? he is hiper-active, smart little one. I guess you can tell by the look on his face. First time in school as well as most of our kids, but when we see him running all over the place, having so much fun and learning a lot, there is not other thing to think that we were not wrong about giving him the chance of his life. Please help us to go on with him

Carlos David Gonzalez Garcia

We call him Carlitos. We have watch him growing during the past 9 years. He was only one at the time we met him and was learning to walk. Even though he is already 10 years old, he had never been to school and now he is at Kairos in first grade. To our surprise, he is one of the two best students. Could you join us to see Carlitos graduating from college. He has the potential and the willingness to do it.

Deisy Janeth Sales Xata

In our first month of school, Deisy is one of our joy and pride!! In Guatemala, whoever gets the best grades (2 kids) get to carry the national flag in any civic act. Well, Deisy is one of them. It was so exiting to see her and Carlos carrying our national flag in our first civic act of the year. She is in first grade. Long ways to go, right? but she can make it. Let us help her to finish what with great satisfaction we can say started really well.

Abner and Obed Manuel Marcos

Our 8 year old left handed twins. They live in a house made out of aluminum sorrounded by lots of flowers. This is a Christian family who had been praying for God to provide education for Abner and Obed. Their economic condition used to be better than now, so older brothers and sister got to go to school, but last year when time came for Abner and Obed to start school, parents just could not afford it. Through Kairos, God gave them them this awaited opportunity. Thank you Gilmores, for being God´s extended hand for these kids.
