Kairos Christian School, Ciudad Vieja

Every Saturday - my mother and family got into Antigua and purchase enough food for up to 80 children. Our desire is to give them a healthy meal knowing that for some of them it could be the only healthy meal during the week. We are also asking for sponsors for these children...to join forces with us as we started our own school on February 2nd. Our school is called Kairos - "God's Timing or the time is now!!" - since we believe that THIS is the time to give these little ones a new chance in life! We started out with 41 kids from 1rst. to 4th. grade. Regretfully
because of finantial matters we had to let the older ones go. Most of them have never been to school - but have been required from the beginning to work like the rest of their family members. - For the poorer Guatemalan families
working at the age of 5 years old is simply a fact of life. So they are forced into a life of illiteracy - this has taken place for generations ...it is the way of life here. SO -our goal is to ask families who have had the blessing of having the recources to help others to join forces with us and put a child or two through school. We ask that you join us both financially as the Lord leads and in prayer - always prayer as we are in the enemy's territory - forever working against him and the chains with which he has bound this country and it's people. To support a kid
it takes $110.00 a month
12 months a year per kid. This includes high quality education
lunch
